Iloilo has one of the most magical beaches in the Philippines. By this I mean the beaches with jaw dropping charm and mouthwatering cuisine served by the locals. Most beaches found in this province will not just take your breath away but may also have your heart skip a beat during your getawa.

Imagine islands located in heavenly coastline sandwiched by postcard worthy views, mountains , rock formations and bordering islets composed of towns with friendly good looking locals of Western Visayas, Philippines. A perfect getaway indeed!

It’s that time of the year again. I’ve scanned and read some of your emails and I saw several requests asking me to write or at least make a list of my top recommended beaches here in Iloilo City. Wish granted! Today you’ll find the list of the must-see beaches and sandbars of Iloilo Province.

(The list you are about to see below does not indicate any ranking at all. Photos were taken during my recent trip with MG Travel and Tours, Guim XP Travel and Tours, Marine Wildlife Watch of the Philippines, Helicam Philippines and Iloilo Provincial Tourism.)

Before I begin with the list, you may also click the video below to see more attractions in Iloilo, Philippines.

Balay Kogon offers an intimate lodging experience, sea-to-table home-cooked food and personalized service by the locals. Cottages perched on a hill by the sea, open to the calming views of Mt. Opao, Tumaquin Islet and Liog mountains. You may read more about this place here.

Guimaras Island

Guimaras is an Island blessed with clean waters framed by white sand beaches , postcard worthy coves and offshore islets. I’ve witnessed the Island’s unblemished simplicity of life and noticed the vast green areas which were mostly patched of their famous mango trees. But Guimaras Island, isn’t just the home for the sweetest mangoes, there’s so much more to this island and there’s no other way to experience Guimaras than visit it personally and discover more attractions.

A few reminders:

Be sure to check if your suncreen is coral reef friendly. When snorkeling never step or stand on the corals. Make sure that you are floating horizontally to avoid disturbing the corals especially when it’s low tide.
